What is a “Geosite”?
These are the highlights of geoparks, such as areas with distinctive geology and landforms, unique ecosystems (plants and animals), or places where history and culture have been nurtured.
While each of these sites can be enjoyed on its own, some geosites are interconnected, offering a deeper experience.
By exploring geosites, you can feel a real connection with the Earth (Geo) through its history, culture, and nature.
Area
Bandai-san Geopark is divided into 11 areas, labeled A to K. Within these areas, there are highlights of the geopark known as “geosites.”
