Looking Up at Mount Bandai

Concept

The design is inspired by the letter “B” from Bandai, symbolizing the mountain’s presence. The bold brush strokes convey the overwhelming majesty of Mount Bandai.

The white squares climbing the mountain represent “shide,” sacred paper used in Shinto rituals, symbolizing people ascending and worshiping the mountain.

The three rings represent Inawashiro Town, Bandai Town, and Kitashiobara Village, while also evoking the ripples on Lake Inawashiro, creating a sacred atmosphere.

The sun symbolizes the rich nature of the grand Mount Bandai and represents the collective passion and unity of the people.
