The geologic big characteristic of Japan is that there are many volcanoes by being located in the disturbance zone. The characteristic of Mount Bandai is to create beautiful scenery in the neighborhood in that as a result that volcanic activity to generate a rock snowslide happened repeatedly. The rock snowslide by the phreatic explosion that happened to 1888 (Meiji 21) age starts the victim of 477, and, in Urabandai, it was in the wasteland of the one side, but many ancient people pour power into the next planting development, the designation of the national park and invite today. I have transparency of the Japan eminence in the foot of Mount Bandai having two contrastive figures of the violence to still leave a gentle figure of a mountain and a scratch of the large eruption for easily named "Aizu Fuji" by a direction to look at, and water and the green beautiful Urabandai Heights which wetlands group of big things and small things more than 300 born by eruption of Lake Inawashiro and the Meiji compared to a mirror (sky mirror) to project the sky on weaves open. Mount Bandai having both geologic value and the beautiful scenery which Nature created is right a mountain representing Fukushima and is irreplaceable valuable property for us. Mount Bandai is the mountain which brought up the history and culture. Many remains indicating the life of people of the Old Stone Age and the Jomon period are in foot of a mountain and Inawashirokohan of the south side. In the southwestern foot, Enichiji was opened early in the Heian era by learned and virtuous priest Tokuichi Bodhisattva. In Inawashiro-machi, there is a Shinto shrine Buddhist temple concerned with Mount Bandai including Iwahashijinja and the soil Tsu Shinto shrine dedicated to Masayuki Hoshina of the Aizu feudal clan first generation feudal lord built in the Heian era. This time I decided to aim at the participation to "world Geopark" that maintenance, education studied these precious geological feature inheritances and rare natural environments, culture, tradition in 3 municipalities (Inawashiro-machi, Bandaimachi, Kitashiobara-mura) around Mount Bandai and kept it alive for community improvement. World Geopark network (GGN) which the UNESCO supports authenticates "the world Geopark", and says the natural park which assumed a scientific cultural valuable geological feature inheritance the highlight. An area more than 30 is active for this network participation in Japan, but I make a higher quality nature park with what I send these valuable natural environments to for the world with these areas in our area and want to give it now. From this, I establish the representative of an organization concerned and various groups, local inhabitants, "Mount Bandai Geopark meeting" by researchers on March 4, 2010 and push forward the action that areas were united.
